What Jesus said about church growth ?

 Jesus commands us to go and preach and make

disciple

Mr 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and

preach the gospel to every creature

 Jesus is the door to the sheep

Joh 10:7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you,

I am the door of the sheep

 Jesus wants all little churches to become big

Lu 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to

give you the kingdom.

 Jesus is the one that draws people to our

parishes

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come

unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

PRAYER

No man can do a great and enduring

work for God who is not a man of

prayer, and no man can be a man of

prayer who does not give much time

to praying.

What the church needs today is not

more machinery or better, not new

organizations or more novel

methods, but men whom the Holy

Ghost can use— men of prayer, men

mighty in prayer.

The men who have done the most

for God in this world have been

early on their knees.

Evangelism- Outreach

Embark on regular evangelism. Every

worker must be involved--- Go Ye. Mk 16;15

Ro 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?

and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how

shall they hear without a preacher?

Have a regular and fixed special programme

and invite guest ministers.

 Back the special programme with prayer

and fasting.

Give it wide advertisement/announcements.

Evangelism- 4 Steps to salvation

1. Realise & Admit you are a Sinner Rm 3:23

For the wages of Sin is Death, but the Gift of God is eternal life in

Christ Jesus our Lord Rm 6:23

2. Jesus paid the Price for our Sins

Therefore ASK GOD'S FORGIVENESS Rm 10:13

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,

that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have

everlasting life. Jn 3:16

3. Believe in Jesus!

BECOME A CHILD OF GOD BY RECEIVING CHRIST

Yet to all who receive Him, to those who believed in His Name, He

gave the right to become Children of God Jn 1:12

4. Repent & Confess that Jesus is your Lord

If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your

heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be Saved. For

with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the

mouth confession is made unto salvation Romans 10:9&10

and connecting with people in your congregation.

Your church visitor retention rate is highest when

you follow-up with visitors within 48 hours.

Retention rates of a first time visitor is 34%, 2nd time

visitors 51% and 3rd time is 78% in fast growing churches.

Herb Miller gives the following statistics for following up:

85% of guests return if visited in 36 hours

60% of guests return if visited in 72 hours

15% of guests return if visited in 7 days.

It should be made compulsory

for all workers and ministers

to have House Fellowship

Centers they attend and

actively identified with.

Christian workers should be

encouraged to become House
